Sub:terra is founded and run by Lulah Francs, DJ / vocalist / producer from Ibiza. Sub:terra aims at reviving the Acid House days in search of true escapism through the medium of music. Sub:terra, Lulah’s own club night and radio show, is reintroducing the wonky Acid House sound of the UK and East Coast for a generation of clubbers who missed out on the madness the first time round. sub:terra has been smashing dance floors at venues like The Cause & Fabric in London, the legendaryMalanga Ibiza as well as the non-binary/all female festival Risen, following which it was given a special mention by Resident Advisor. Last but not least, this is the second time sub:terra lands at The Star & Garter after a slamming party in March '24. Lulah also brought sub:terra to Bristols legendary club, The Love Inn this September with house legend - NIKS.

Many of us here in Bristol are worried about family and friends back home in Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa. The devastation has been difficult to watch, and it has left many in our community feeling anxious and heartbroken.

We want to come together in love, music, and unity to help in any way we can.

🙏🏾On Friday 6th December, we’re hosting a big community fundraiser + raffle night at The Star & Garter.
🍻 20% of bar takings will go towards relief efforts.
🎟️ Raffle draw + live entertainment on the night. (Full details to be announced)

We’re calling on our Bristol community + local businesses to support by donating raffle prizes; bar tabs, meals, tickets, experiences, anything that can help us raise funds for Jamaica.

Funds will go to the Jamaican Government’s official relief fund (https://supportjamaica.gov.jm/), with plans to also support trusted Jamaican charities working on the ground. - Get in touch if you have recommendations!

Next Saturday we welcome the return of Bristol icon SLEDGEHEAD aka Ray Mighty of Smith & Mighty fame.

Ray has played a pivotal role in the development of electronic music spanning a career over 3 decades. From engineering some of the biggest hits with Rob Smith, to pushing the boundaries in their own productions, he returns under his SLEDGEHEAD alias with one aim - to bring pure vibes to the dance floor with a combination of timeless samples and funky grooves mashed up just the way he likes them.

Negus Melody has been an integral pillar of the sound system community in St Paul’s since the early 2000s. Ras himself has been collecting records for over 4 decades.

The collective has performed with huge names across the scene including Channel One & Irration Steppas. Expect a night of dub, roots & reggae, revival, oldies but goodies and fresh new dub.

Ras Kama presents Negus Melody; a four hour Vinyl Session diving into the diverse history and current scope of roots and dub across the scene.

Negus Melody has been an integral pillar of the sound system community in St Paul’s since the early 2000s. Ras himself has been collecting records for over 4 decades.

The collective has performed with huge names across the scene including Channel One & Irration Steppas. Expect a night of dub, roots & reggae, revival, oldies but goodies and fresh new dub.
